Roamers 4 Wheel Drive
The Roamers 4x4 Club was started by a group of 4 wheeling enthusiasts in 1972. We became incorporated in 1974 and gained non-profit status in 1977. We are a family orientated club with 40 active members. The Roamers hold monthly meetings, the first Wednesday of every month at the Bowler in Fargo, ND. We have members who enjoy the trial riding/off road aspect of 4 Wheeling, members who are into Mud Racing and some who do both! Our vehicles range every where from Trail Ride Jeeps/Trucks, ATV\'s and Side by Sides to Mud Race Trucks. We\'ve wheeled and participated in Off Road Events in Dresser, WI, Gilbert, MN, Appleton, MN, Freedom Ridge Atwater, MN, Akeley, MN just to name a few! We hope to add even more to that list in the future! We hold multiple fund raisers throughout the year to raise money to donate back into our Community. Fundraisers include our own Roamers Calendar sales and we are hired to put on Mudruns for Community events like Mapleton Days, Enderlin Sunflower Days and Kindred Spring Mudrun. We usually put on 3-4 Mudruns a summer. We also try and hold Club events once a month, schedules permitting. As a Club, some of our bigger donations are collecting toys for Toys for Tots, donating to the Roger Maris Cancer Center and Golden Drive Homeless Kids. We\'ve restored Picnic Tables and donated money for Fire Pits and a new Boat Ramp at Cottingham Park in Wadena County, MN on the Crow Wing River where we have a Club Tubing Weekend every summer. We also donate to individuals in our community who are struggling with hardship. To become members of our Club, each applicant is to attend (2) of our Events and (1) Meeting. They must submit a membership application which the Club and Board Members would need to approve.
